I grew up in western Germany, an area that was characterized by heavy industry such as mining and steel production. For this reason, I like to make photos of landscape-shaping businesses or -buildings in the cities I travel to. The German conceptual artists and photographers, Bernd and Hilla Becher, also inspired me on this topic.
